Paying on Upwork

Link a Flowbit NFC card to Upwork to pay freelancers and buy Connects.

Get a Card

Create an account or log in to Upwork

Go to upwork.com and log in.

Go to the billing section

  • For freelancers: Go to Settings → Billing & Payments and select Add a payment method
  • For clients: Go to Settings → Billing & Payments and open Payment Methods

Add a payment method

  • Click “Add payment method” and select “Credit/Debit Card.”

Enter your card information

Please enter:
  • Card number, expiration date, and CVC—available in your account dashboard.
  • Cardholder name—your name in Roman characters.
  • Country: select Hong Kong.
  • Billing address — use the address provided with the card (displayed in the mini-app).

Change your IP address

Confirm the card addition

Click Save / Confirm. Upwork may perform a small verification check (temporary hold).

How to use the card

  • Once you've added a card, you'll be able to: purchase Connects, pay for Fixed-price or Hourly contracts, and pay for Upwork Plus or other subscriptions

If the payment doesn't go through

Please check:
  • the correct IP address has been selected;
  • whether the account country is set to Hong Kong;
  • whether the card details and billing address are correct

    Select the region issued with your card in the app: Singapore or the United Kingdom.

  2. Make sure the region has actually changed.

    Use any service to check your IP

  3. Enter a billing address that matches the country of your card.

    You can generate the address using the appropriate service.
